Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, started his visit to the State of Israel by meeting his colleague, Naftali Bennett.
Garibashvili and Bennett discussed the key aspects of the cooperation agenda between the two countries.
The Prime Minister of the State of Israel expressed gratitude to Garibashvili for his second official visit.
“It is no secret that we have a mutual belief in and respect towards each other. We appreciate that it has been the second official visit to our country,” noted Bennett.
Garibashvili thanked his Israeli colleague for hosting him .
“Mr. Prime Minister, first of all thank you for receiving us. It is a great honor to be here. We are close friends and this friendship dates 26 centuries. Once again, thank you!” noted Garibashvili.
“2022 is a jubilee year for bilateral relations, as the 30th anniversary is celebrated since the establishment of diplomatic relations. The positive trend of bilateral cooperation in various areas creates opportunities for further advancing our partnership in a number of areas, including education, infrastructure, tourism, trade, agriculture and others,” he said.
Attention was focused at the meeting on the development prospects of current cooperation in defense and security.
