Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said that German Ambassador Peter Fischer had asked for an exemption from Georgia’s Law on Grants but was informed that the legislation applies equally to all entities, including diplomatic missions.
“Mr Fischer was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Previously, he had requested a meeting at the government administration, where he asked for an exemption from the Law on Grants. However, he was informed that the law will apply uniformly to all entities, including the German Embassy,” Kobakhidze told journalists.
