On June 1, the world celebrates International Day for the Protection of Children.
“Caring for children and future generations is one of our government’s top priorities. Ensuring equal access to healthcare and education for all children is vitally important,” stated Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili.
He noted that numerous steps taken by the Government of Georgia year after year serve the purpose of fulfilling this key task.
“This year, from June 1, in order to improve children’s socioeconomic conditions, assistance for socially vulnerable children will increase further, and about 232,000 children will now receive 200 GEL a month, for which 465 million GEL will be allocated from the state budget.
“We will continue working toward putting in place better conditions for children and creating even better opportunities for the development of our future generations.
“I join all of you in celebrating International Day for the Protection of Children. I wish peace, health, prosperity, and progress to every child in our country,” stated Garibashvili.
