Penitentiary Service: Toxic Substance in Saakashvili’s Body is Not in a Poisonous Amount

According to the head of the medical department of the Special Penitentiary Service, Malkhaz Urtkhmelidze, in the report of the Empathy center provided to the agency by the court, no fact of poisoning of convict Mikheil Saakashvili is confirmed.

As Malkhaz Urtkhmelidze told journalists, according to the documentation provided, the toxic substance in Mikheil Saakashvili’s body is not in a poisonous amount, and all indicators are sharply below the norm.

According to him, on the website of the American laboratory, where Empathy conducted the examination, both the minimum limit and the permissible norm are specified, which are not reflected in the documents presented by Empathy.

“On the website of the NMS Labs laboratory, where the examination was conducted and the results are not confidential and available to everyone, both the minimum limit and the acceptable norm are indicated. This document proves that the toxic substance is not present in the body in a toxic amount,” said the head of the medical department.
