“Reports that there is a special mobilization of forces on the territory of facility N12 and the deployment of special forces and police convoys is not true and is another attempt to mislead the public,” the Special Penitentiary Service reports.
The agency states that the footage that was spread does not show the territory of facility N12, but the base of the Main Division of External Protection and Information-Technical Security of the Special Penitentiary Service located in Rustavi.
Earlier, the local media reported that there was a special mobilization of police forces as well as medical emergency brigades on the territory of Rustavi N12 penitentiary facility, where the third president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili is imprisoned, being on a hunger strike as a form of protest for 30 days now, since the day of his imprisonment. He was arrested on charges of exaggeration of power and illegal border crossing.
