The case of Partskhaladze is over, it has been fully responded to in accordance with the law, – said the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze.
He says the President’s decision serves to leave the issue of Partskhaladze on the agenda so that the opposition can talk about it. As for the opposition’s criticism of the President, Talakvadze believes that the opposition is confused.
“This case is over, because all the institutions defined by the law, be it the Ministry of Justice, the National Bank or investigative structures, acted in accordance with the rules established by the law.
“There were speculations that the investigation would not be launched, but it was launched. There were speculations that the government or the ruling party prevented the termination of citizenship, but we saw that the Ministry of Justice sent the relevant document in a short time. This case is over, it has been responded to in accordance with the law. As for the statements and decisions that we additionally hear about Partskhaladze, it serves the only purpose to somehow keep the topic on the agenda of the radical opposition and its supporters, since they have nothing to talk about. This is what two contradictory statements serve, when in one case there was a request for a document on termination, and then we saw that she changed her decision, she no longer terminates his citizenship,” said Talakvadze.
To the question of how valid the opposition’s accusation is that Zurabishvili might be carrying out Ivanishvili’s task, Talakvadze answered that this was speculation.
“Our opponents are very confused. They need help, but who can help them, I cannot see such a person. They convince each other of something that has no perspective. This is another example speculation and the process of deceiving supporters continues,” said Talakvadze.
For the record, the National Bank changed the procedure for implementing the sanctions regime.
