The Parliament approved Natia Turnava for the vacant position of a member of the Board of the National Bank of Georgia with 80 to 9 votes.
Turnava served as the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development from September 14, 2018 to April 17, 2019, and as the Minister of the same agency from April 18, 2019 to February 9, 2022.
Turnava holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master of Business Administration from Ivane Javakhishvili State University and Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. She has also taken various training courses in the US under the auspices of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
