The Parliament of Georgia is currently awaiting the submission of the 2025 state budget proposal by the government, due by October 1, in line with legal guidelines. The anticipated meeting of the Parliament’s Bureau is set to take place on October 1 at 12:00, where the suggested budget will be assessed. The next stage is for parliamentary committees and political groups to further evaluate the draft. A two-week deadline will be given for feedback.
Per the law, the draft, coupled with all the feedback from relevant committees and members, must be returned to the government by October 22, upon which the latter is expected to revise accordingly and submit the new version to Parliament no later than November 5. The ultimate approval by the Parliament must occur by the third Friday of December after a series of plenary sessions with additional reviews.
