Responding to a Georgian journalist’s question about EU criticism of Georgia, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán expressed strong support for the country, saying it deserves “great respect” and calling it “an outstanding nation.”
“In Hungary, we have a saying – a cowardly nation has no worth – and in this context, Georgia is a country worthy of our admiration,” Orbán said.
He accused the Soros Foundation of trying to overthrow Georgia’s democratically elected government, claiming similar efforts are underway in Hungary. Orbán suggested that both countries are under pressure from globalist forces, but he believes their influence is waning.
“Globalists are being defeated. This process is ongoing and will intensify across Europe. In two years, the balance of power will shift,” he predicted. “When we hear a knock on the door, it should be a friendly one. Georgia’s future is bright – all doors will open, including the door to the European Union.”
