At the OSCE PA final session, the Head of the Parliamentary Delegation and the Chair of the OSCE PA Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs, Nikoloz Samkharadze, addressed the representatives of the OSCE member states and put an emphasis on the full-scale military aggression of Russia against Ukraine and its impact on regional security.
In his speech, he underlined the importance of further consistent and effective pressure on the international community on Russia to make it fulfill the assumed commitments.
Samkharadze dwelt on the EU integration progress of Georgia and called on the EU member states to support Georgia on this path.
He also highlighted the importance of stability and peace in the South Caucasus region and stressed the commitment of Georgia to playing the role of the stabilizer of peace in the region. Georgia is ready, he stressed, to host the Azerbaijani and Armenian colleagues in Tbilisi in view of the facilitation of the peace-keeping dialogue.
The OSCE PA Annual Session was held in Birmingham, UK.
