12 years after the opening of Kutaisi International Airport, for the first time, a bus was appointed to serve passengers from the city center to the airport.
The Union of Georgian Airports says 3 buses will serve airport passengers from the center of Kutaisi starting today, March 28. The cost of the trip will be five GEL. Despite the fact that the airport was opened 12 years ago, getting from Kutaisi to the airport was possible until now only by taxi, private car, or by public transport moving in the direction of various cities of Western Georgia, for example, by Kutaisi-Samtredia minibus.
In February 2024, the Union of Georgian Airports purchased three 8-meter buses of the Isuzi Novociti life model from the “G-T Group” and paid a total of 1,398,000 GEL. The bus is manufactured in Turkey.
The bus will take passengers from Kutaisi, from the area adjacent to the DMO Imereti office, from Rustaveli Street 9A, and will pick them up from the airport at the same address.
