Maia Omiadze has been tapped as the new Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, the Economy Ministry announced on Monday.
Before the appointment, she served as the Head of the Strategic Communications Department of the Economy Ministry, and prior to that, headed the Public Relations Division of the Culture Ministry, as well as the Marketing and Public Relations Department of the Mountain Resorts Development Agency.
“We have quite ambitious goals and plans, which I will progressively reveal to the industry and society. Of course, the primary priority is to increase tourism revenue by developing additional tourist destinations and building new infrastructure,” Omiadze said.
