Neurologist: UN Expert Conducted Medical Examination on Saakashvili

Neurologist Otar Toidze says a forensic medical expert of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights conducted a medical examination of Mikheil Saakashvili, the third President of Georgia.

Toidze noted that Saakashvili answered all the questions asked by the expert, including regarding procedural issues. According to him, the foreign expert will publish his report on Saakashvili’s health condition in a few days.

“His mission is to evaluate both the medical record and the patient’s condition. He examined the patient and told me that he would send me his assessment. Mr. Mikheil provided all the information the expert was asking for, including regarding procedural issues.

“Saakashvili’s condition is getting worse, if we look at the dynamics, the patient is getting worse, it can happen suddenly or over time,” said Otar Toidze.
