The Institute of Earth Sciences and the National Seismic Monitoring Center stated that a minor earthquake was recorded in Georgia.
Seismologists reported that the earthquake struck at 16:39 local time. The epicenter was located approximately 10 kilometers west of the city of Gurjaani, near the village of Cheremi, in eastern Georgia.
The tremor measured 3.0 on the local magnitude (ML) scale. No information about damage or injuries has been reported.
Authorities continue to monitor seismic activity in the region.
