The Ministry of Finance has released the 10-month report on the implementation of the 2023 budget. According to the report, the revenue service successfully collected 13,933,650,900 GEL in taxes during this period, equivalent to 83% of the 2023 plan. Consequently, an additional 2,776,700,000 GEL needs to be mobilized in the remaining months of November and December to meet the budget requirements.
The Ministry of Finance highlights that the largest share of total state taxes came from Value Added Tax (VAT), followed by income and excise taxes.
The breakdown of tax mobilization for the first 10 months of 2023 is as follows:
- Value Added Tax: 5,618,818,100 GEL, representing 82% of the annual plan.
- Income Tax: 4,631,549,000 GEL, reaching 84% of the annual plan.
- Profit Tax: 1,704,694,200 GEL, achieving 85% of the annual plan.
- Excise Tax: 1,836,683,000 GEL, meeting 83% of the annual plan.
- Import Tax: 127,834,800 GEL, equal to 85% of the annual plan.
Concerning income from the privatization of state property, the report indicates a total of 103.5 million GEL, which corresponds to 51.8% of the annual plan set at 200 million GEL.
