The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia responded to the events that took place on June 10 at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, condemning the violent forms of protest used by students.
“The Ministry respects the freedom of expression of each student, but violent forms of protest are not allowed.
“We hope that all challenges will be met in an appropriate format for the academic space and the university community,” the Ministry said in a statement.
The protest of TSU students has been going on for several weeks. One of the demands of students is to conduct final exams remotely.
