Minister of Economy, Levan Davitashvili attended GLOBSEC 2022 BRATISLAVA FORUM. He noted they have talked about the process of so-called economic and energy transformation that needs to be accelerated in a way that switching to renewable energy and those energy sources is possible faster.
“In this regard, it is worthwhile to emphasize Georgia’s potential – our country has great potential for renewable energy production, and in this regard, this direction is a priority for the Georgian government,” said Davitashvili.
He outlined that new perspectives for cooperation with EU countries are emerging, which will further strengthen and make Georgia, and the South Caucasus region in general, more competitive in order to be a reliable source of alternative traffic flows and make Georgia even more efficient in its transit function.
