The Chair of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Mikheil Sarjveladze was elected as a Member of the Global Rule of Law Commission of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO).
EPLO, equipped with the UN General Assembly Permanent Observer status, has launched the global rule of law initiative and made a decision in 2019 to set up the Global Rule of Law Commission, composed of 17 professional members of high reputation from all over the world according to the geographic distribution principle.
The Commission is assigned to develop the comprehensive vision and values of the global rule of law through the facilitation of the nation-to-nation dialogue and sharing own expert knowledge.
Sarjveladze will participate in the inaugural ceremony of the members to be hosted by Lisbon, Portugal on January 10-11.
The process is backed by the EPLO Regional Representative, Ambassador Ioseb Nanobashvili.
