Former president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili today wrote on Facebook that he has already arrived in Georgia.
“Good morning Georgia. After 8 years from Georgia,” Saakashvili wrote.
He also released a video address from Batumi, the capital of the Adjara region, addressing his supporters and calling on them to vote in the local elections scheduled for tomorrow, October 2.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs does not have information about Saakashvili’s arrival at this stage. Consequently, no comment has been made by the agency.
The “National Movement” also claims not to know about Saakashvili’s arrival.
Earlier, Saakashvili posted a photo of his planned Kyiv-Tbilisi flight on his Facebook page. The flight was scheduled for October 2.
