The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested more than 20 drug dealers. The Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Teimuraz Kupatadze, spoke about the special operation ongoing in the Ponichala settlement with journalists.
According to Kupatadze, various types, and especially large amounts, of drugs were seized by the police.
“The operation is underway throughout the country, including in the Ponichala settlement. At this stage, based on the court ruling, more than 20 drug dealers have been arrested, including 6 drug dealers in Ponichala. Police actions continue in various towns. The number of detainees will increase by the end of the day. Various kinds of large and particularly large amounts of drugs have been seized,” said Teimuraz Kupatadze.
