The Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 24 people for drug crimes in Tbilisi and regions, including 18 drug dealers, Teimuraz Kupatadze, director of the Central Criminal Police Department, said at the briefing held in the agency.
“18 drug dealers were arrested in Tbilisi and the regions, including the Ponichala settlement, on charges of illegal drug trafficking and attempted trafficking.
“The crimes are punishable by up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
“In relation to drug crimes, the police also arrested citizens of Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan,” Teimuraz Kupatadze said at the briefing.
