The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia says the US House of Representatives has approved the National Defense Authorization Act Bill for the fiscal year 2023, which includes essential documents supporting Georgia.
MFA notes that the entries in the document once again confirm the unwavering bipartisan support of the US Congress towards Georgia and significantly contribute to the further deepening of the strong strategic partnership between the countries in order to strengthen Georgia’s security and support European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
“The passage of the US National Defense Authorization Act bill, which includes pro-Georgian messages, is another clear example of the US-Georgia strategic partnership and demonstrates strong bipartisan support for Georgia,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, wrote on social media.
The head of the foreign ministry notes that it is essential that the United States of America considers Georgia as a part of common European and Euro-Atlantic security, continues to take concrete steps to strengthen Georgia’s security, and promotes the strengthening of the strategic partnership with Georgia.
