Meupe (Bishop) Zenon stood alongside bishops Saba and Grigol and thousands of Georgian citizens at the “No Russian Law” rally on April 30.
Meupe Zenon condemned not only the excessive use of force employed by the police against protesters, but also said all is not well in the Patriarchate.
He noted he did not agree with the recent views expressed by the Georgian Church officials regarding “geopolitical changes.”
“We should avoid stigmatizing each other and should unite. What value does life have in this country? Every citizen is a person. We cannot survive without humanism. There is no other way,” he told journalists.
