Member of the European Parliament, Viola von Cramon-Taubadel, is holding meetings at Tbilisi Marriott. The MEP is paying an unofficial visit to Georgia as part of a vacation, Rustavi 2 informs.
She held meetings with the leaders of Lelo today, which were followed by negotiations with political party Khalkhistvis’ leader Ana Dolidze, who confirmed the meeting, but called it unofficial.
Shalva Papuashvili, the first Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Education, Science and Culture Committee, told Rustavi 2 that Viola von Cramon is interested in Georgian issues, therefore, the meeting will focus on the processes related to mediation.
“We were the most constructive in the process, we agreed on that document. Unfortunately, our opponents rejected it, which is why everything failed,” Papuashvili said.
