The free people of Georgia will always resist Russification, – this is how European parliamentarian Thijs Reuten responds to the signing of the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” by the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.
According to his assessment, “Georgian Dream” recently tried to put the last nail in the coffin of Georgia’s European future – but in the end they will fail.
“The free people of Georgia will always resist Russification. They deserve the real support of the European Union. Impose sanctions on Mr. Ivanishvili and his allies”, writes MEP Thijs Reuten on X.
For information, the Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, signed the law “On transparency of foreign influence”. He noted that the main goal of this law is to “strengthen the resilience of Georgia’s political, economic and social systems against external interference.”
