In my opinion, this is an attempt to divert the public’s attention from real problems, – this is how European Parliamentarian Viola von Cramon said in answer to a question about the Georgian government’s decision to start the impeachment of its president, Salome Zurabishvili.
While the MEP was visiting the occupation line in Odzisi, journalists asked her how the Western partners perceive the ruling team’s decision to start impeachment procedures against the President.
“In my opinion, this is an attempt to divert public attention from real problems,” the MEP stated.
Georgian Dream is starting the impeachment procedure against the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili. Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze made the relevant statement at the press conference a few days ago. According to Kobakhidze, the impeachment procedure will begin even though its implementation needs the support of the opposition in the parliament.
