The recent government decree stated that the Georgian Medical Holding, operating under the Ministry of Health, will acquire the assets of LJ & Company – Western Georgia Tuberculosis and Infectious Diseases Center in Kutaisi for up to ₾8,008,410. The decision was made to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of mandatory treatment programs for individuals with drug addiction.
The property, located at 20 Chkhobadze Street in Kutaisi, includes a 11,876 sq. m non-agricultural land plot and four buildings, valued at ₾6.32 million. In addition, medical and office equipment, such as hospital beds, oxygen concentrators and diagnostic devices, will be purchased for no more than ₾1.69 million.
An additional ₾150,000 has been allocated for rehabilitation and equipping works necessary to maintain full operational capacity for compulsory treatment services.
The total required funding, up to ₾8.16 million, will be mobilized by the Ministry of Health. The decree was signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
