McDonald’s Georgia Awarded Prestigious Fred L. Turner Golden Arch Award

McDonald’s Georgia is the winner of the Fred L. Turner Golden Arch Award. The award was given to the company for customer and employee care, consistent management, promoting an inclusive community and strengthening the entire McDonald’s system. This award is a top-notch recognition for McDonald’s franchises.

Fred Turner, along with Ray Kroc, turned McDonald’s into a global brand from a small chain of restaurants. In honor of their achievement, McDonald’s presents two prestigious awards: the Ray Kroc Global Award for Outstanding Managers, which McDonald’s Georgia has won four times, and the Fred L. Turner Golden Arch Award for successful franchisees, which was won by McDonald’s Georgia for the first time this year.

This recognition from McDonald’s was shared by 42 franchises on 20 markets. It is important that only McDonald’s Georgia was among the winners of the European Division this year.

“It is noteworthy that this prestigious award was given to only 1 percent of the worldwide franchises. That is why we appreciate the contribution you make to the development of our system,” reads the congratulatory letter sent by McDonald’s President Ian Borden to McDonald’s Georgia leaders. “This contribution, in turn, implies your active role in business and also your enthusiasm for the development of the McDonald’s brand, which will bring beneficial changes not only for consumers, but also for the whole community in which our brand operates.”

The letter also states that McDonald’s appreciates Georgia’s franchise growth-oriented and leadership-oriented approaches, and recognizes its commitment to operational excellence and outstanding service.

“You have managed to establish exemplary standards in your restaurants. In recent years, the credibility of our brand has increased significantly, which is due to the dedication of your restaurant chains. Accept my sincere compliments for such impressive results in the market,” wrote the President of McDonald’s.

A ceremonial meeting for the winners will take place in April 2022 at the McDonald’s World Convention in Florida.

McDonald’s Georgia made a total investment of 106,134,482 GEL in the country in 1999-2020. It opened two new restaurants in 2020 and a Bradfield bakery in 2021, with a total investment of GEL 45,000,000. From 1999 to 2020, McDonald’s Georgia contributed 115,652,448 GEL to the budget.

McDonald’s currently employs more than 1300 people. In 2022, it plans to open 3 new restaurants, which will employ more than 150 people.

“Despite the pandemic, we have not terminated the employment contract of any of employee. McDonald’s employees are constantly undergoing various types of training and retraining. It’s a constant process of improving production and customer service,” note the representatives of McDonald’s Georgia.
