The Maritime Transport Agency published information regarding the arrival of the ASTORIA GRANDE cruise ship in the Batumi seaport, coming from Sochi to Batumi.
As the agency explains, the arrival of the ASTORIA GRANDE cruise ship is of a commercial nature, it is registered in the Seychelles under the name of Goodwin Shipping Limited, and is not subject to international sanctions.
“According to the information provided by the ship agency company INFLOT, the cruise ship ASTORIA GRANDE sailing under the flag of Palau, served by the Turkish cruise company Miray Cruises International, is scheduled to enter Batumi sea port on July 27.
“It should be noted that the arrival of the cruise ship ASTORIA GRANDE is of a commercial nature. It is registered in the Seychelles under the name of Goodwin Shipping Limited and is not subject to international sanctions.
“The Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia, in coordination with the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, constantly inspects both ships and shipowners in relation to international sanctions. Therefore, if the ship or the owner of the ship is on the list of sanctions, it is not allowed to enter the ports of Georgia and the relevant procedures are carries out,” reads the statement.
