The Roads Department under Georgia’s Ministry of Infrastructure has reopened part of the national Koda–Partskhisi–Manglisi–Tsalka–Ninotsminda highway to light vehicle traffic.
The department stated that cars are now allowed to travel on the stretch between kilometre 94 and kilometre 146, covering the Paravani Pass to Ninotsminda section. Restrictions, however, remain in place for trailers and semi-trailers which are still prohibited from using this segment.
The Ministry added that traffic on the earlier section of the highway, from kilometre 1 to kilometre 94 between Koda and Ayazma, is fully open with no restrictions for all vehicle types.
