The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has reported that Latvia will gift 15 thousand doses of the vaccine to Georgia.
After meeting with his Georgian counterpart Davit Zalkaliani, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics stated: “I am glad that we have given impetus to the process. Considering the logistical issue, 15,000 doses of vaccine against Covid will be delivered to Georgia.”
Edgar Rinkevics stressed the importance of joint efforts in the fight the pandemic. The Latvian Foreign Minister spoke about the resumption of direct flights and noted that “AirBaltic” operates flights to Tbilisi-Riga three times a week and expressed hope that traffic will soon return to the pre-pandemic state, which will help resume tourist traffic between the countries.
