Kobakhidze: Organizers of ‘Glory to Ukraine’ Conference Politically Affiliated with Radical Opposition

Chairman of the Georgian Dream, Irakli Kobakhidze, stated at a briefing held today that the draft law “on Foreign Agents” brought greater results without implementation than it could have brought even with implementation: “First of all, everyone admitted that the being an agent is embarrassing, no matter whose agent one is – from the North, West, South or East.”

He noted that society is now better able to distinguish between agents of foreign influence and agents of people’s influence.

“It became clear to everyone that those organizations that tried to implement Bakuriani’s plan demanded the resignation of the government from the stage, tried to undermine the reputation of the Church, carried out LGBT propaganda, opposed the country’s energy independence, etc., are actually agents of foreign influence, not Georgian people,” Kobakhidze said.

He noted that they will never allow the National Movement to return to power at the hands of agents of foreign influence.
