Today, the leader of the Girchi political party, Iago Khvichia visited the former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili at the “Vivamed” clinic. After the meeting, Khvichia stated they had had a pleasant conversation.
He noted that Saakashvili does not suspect that Girchi is playing the game of Georgian Dream and does not think Girchi is their messenger. Khvichia highlighted that one part of his plan is directly related to the former President’s release from prison.
“Saakashvili’s imprisonment directly hinders the European integration process. I would call on the members of the National Movement to make this issue important. Important does not mean that they shout falsely, but it means saying that if this is done, we will act differently in return. This is what my meeting was about, that his teammates become a little in sync with the demands that are needed both for Saakashvili’s release and for European integration,” Khvichia said.
As for Saakashvili’s health condition, as Khvichia mentioned, he cannot assess the severity of his health, although noted it is not ideal, adding that Saakashvili spoke adequately during the conversation.
