“As for the results, to be honest, I thought we would have won in the first round, there were all the preconditions for that. However, a lot has changed in recent days,” Tbilisi mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze stated at a briefing today.
He noted that he respects the will of the voters and any decision that Tbilisians will make.
“Maybe I did not do enough, maybe we did not pay proper attention to all current issues in the process of work. I apologize for that,” said Kaladze.
According to the data of 320 out of 769 polling stations, Kaladze received 45.5% of the votes, Nika Melia, the candidate of the National Movement – 34.13%.
“I am ready to take part in a second round and I am sure that with the support of the people of Tbilisi, we will be able to win,” said Kaladze.
