The Minister of Justice of Georgia, Rati Bregadze, expressed his dissatisfaction with the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland concerning an incident involving the Polish doctor who visited Saakashvili this week. According to Bregadze, the statement lacked any form of apology or even a show of concern regarding the doctor’s behavior.
Bregadze stated that they had anticipated a different response from the Polish authorities. The Minister remarked that the statement focused on expressing dissatisfaction with the Special Penitentiary Service for releasing footage of the incident rather than addressing the doctor’s behavior.
Bregadze announced that future cooperation with Polish doctors will no longer continue due to their unethical behavior.
However, Bregadze made it clear that the family of prisoner Saakashvili would still be granted the opportunity to bring in foreign doctors of their choice.
On July 19, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland released a statement on an incident related to doctors’ visiting ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili
