I believe that all recommendations will be implemented within the necessary time frame, – Minister of Justice Rati Bregadze told journalists.
According to him, he does not think that Nika Gvaramia’s pardon is related to European integration.
The Georgian Dream government is the most successful in the history of independent Georgia in the direction of European integration. If any tangible progress has been achieved in this direction, it was during the Georgian Dream period. I am deeply convinced that together with the Georgian people, we will definitely be happy to receive candidate status and, subsequently, to become a member of the European Union.
When it comes to European integration, Georgia solves quite a lot of problems in a fairly short period of time. Based on the pace of all agencies working on European integration issues, I believe that all the recommendations will be implemented within the required time frame.
As for fulfilling one of the points of the European recommendation by pardoning Nika Gvaramia, I don’t think that the specific case and the pardon have anything to do with the European integration of Georgia,” said Rati Bregadze.
