During an interview with Imedi, Bidzina Ivanishvili discussed plans to refresh relations with Georgia’s international partners, particularly the US. He highlighted the impact of the current war on shifting priorities and altering global relations. However, he remained optimistic that once the war ends, relations will be restored and emphasized the importance of America to Georgia.
Ivanishvili revealed that he is in talks with US Ambassador Robin Dunnigan to arrange a meeting after the October 26 elections, once previous issues have been resolved.
He expressed hopes of rebuilding positive ties with important international partners, but noted that it requires mutual effort.
