The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgian, the Ministry of Transport of Ireland, and the Road Safety Authority of Ireland have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the exchange of driving licenses, effective from June 25, 2024.
This agreement allows holders of valid driving licenses from Georgia or Ireland to exchange their licenses in their country of permanent residence without needing to take theoretical or practical exams. The MoU specifies the vehicle categories and subcategories eligible for exchange, including AM, A1, A2, A, B, BE, C1, C, D1, D1E, D, DE, CE, and C1E.
