An investigation has been launched into the fact of splashing of paint onto the icon of St. Matrona, on which Stalin is depicted, in the Trinity Cathedral.
Proceedings were initiated under Article 166 of the Administrative Offences Code, which pertains to petty hooliganism.
Case materials will be forwarded to the court for further response.
The news of the placement of the icon of the Holy Matrona in the Holy Trinity Cathedral, on which Joseph Stalin is depicted, was spread on social media on January 6.
