International Arts Festival Tbilisi Rhythm is back for its eighth edition
The Joseph Lagidze International Arts Festival ‘Tbilisi Rhythm’, launched in 2017, is back for its eighth edition at the Vakhtang Salaridze Concert Hall. The festival showcases Brazilian talents at Vakhatng Salaridze Concert hall, on May 30, followed by a group jam session with Georgian talents at Nali Stage Bar and Zazanova Salon Restaurant on Friday, May 31.
Stay tuned for enriching musical experience which is brought to you by Tbilisi Rhythm Festival.
The upcoming edition will highlight world class Brazilian musicians like Pedro Martins on electric guitar, Michael Pipoquinha on bass, Felipe Viegas on piano, and Renato Galv Santos on drums.
TRF serves as a launchpad for international and local emerging and rising artists, promoting diversity and offering exposure to new talents across the country.
Brazilian guitarist, vocalist and composer Pedro Martins is the newest addition to Los Angeles’ thriving creative music scene. Martins has collaborated with everyone from Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jacob Collier, Thundercat, Brad Mehldau, Chris Potter and JD Beck, to legendary guitar hero Eric Clapton.
Pedro hit the headlines in 2015, when he won the prestigious Montreux Guitar Competition as a young Brazilian prodigy and made a strong impression on the jury formed by Kurt Rosenwinkel and John McLaughlin. After studying guitar and piano as a child, this eclectic Brazilian musician has become a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter perfectly at ease with typical Brazilian genres like samba and choro, as well as with jazz, fusion, progressive rock, and world music.
“Festivals play a significant role in fostering a sense of community and cultural identity. ‘Tbilisi Rhythm Festival’ remains dedicated to fostering dialogue, championing local issues, and nurturing a vibrant artistic community.  We believe that every idea can be executed beautifully and we work hard to meet and exceed public’s expectations”- says Ani Lagidze,  Founder and CEO of the Jospeh Lagidze International Arts Festival ‘Tbilisi Rhythm’.
During her 20-year tenure from the foundation of Tagis Arts World Cultural Integration, the festival has developed into one of Georgia’s best-known cultural enterprises.
