In line with the Government’s ordinance, 19,695,000 GEL will be allocated to municipalities for measures to eliminate the consequences of the recent natural disaster.
“To carry out measures designed to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster, the Finance Ministry shall allocate to the municipalities 19,695,000 GEL from the Fund for Projects to Be Implemented in the Regions of Georgia, as prescribed by the Law of Georgia on the 2023 Budget,” the ordinance reads.
In addition, based on the relevant ordinance of the Government, the municipalities—in order to compensate the population affected by the natural disaster of January 2023 for fully or partially damaged private houses—will receive 1,470,000 GEL from the Reserve Fund of the Government.
“In relation to the measures designed to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster, in order to compensate the population affected by the natural disaster of January 2023 for fully or partially damaged private houses, the Finance Ministry of Georgia shall allocate to the municipalities 1,470,000 GEL from the Reserve Fund of the Government of Georgia, as prescribed by the Law of Georgia on the 2023 Budget,” the ordinance reads.
