According to the decision of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), in 2024, Georgia will host World Tourism Day.
“To attend the large-scale events dedicated to the World Tourism Day, which include holding cultural events and thematic discussion panels, as well as visiting various tourist places of the country, the Secretary General of the UNWTO, the Ministers of Tourism of the organization’s member countries and other high-ranking guests will visit Georgia.
“Holding such an event in Georgia will significantly contribute to the positioning of the country as an outstanding tourist destination in the world,” the National Tourism Administration stated when announcing the news.
