In the 2020-2022 report of the National Center for Disease Control, it is noted that as of July 1, 153 medical personnel died of coronavirus in Georgia.
As noted in the report, lethality among infected women working in medical institutions was 0.4% and among men – 1.4%. various accompanying chronic diseases were noted in 53 fatal cases, among which cardiovascular diseases made up the majority. Among the deceased, respiratory system diseases were recorded as complications in most cases.
The report notes, that as of July 1, 2022, 59% of patients who died of COVID-19 had various co-morbidities.
