The mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, stated that the implementation of a transport project in Tbilisi is starting, which involves the development of a smart transport system in the streets.
As the mayor explained, the system includes a data platform, road sensors and flow management technology that will enable real-time traffic and parking management in Tbilisi. He added that it will also facilitate the movement of public transport and emergency crews.
“A smart transport system will help us increase road safety, reduce traffic jams and improve the ecological situation,” Kaladze noted.
