A “Chain of Unity” has been formed in Tbilisi and various cities in Georgia.
Georgian citizens have formed a “Chain of Unity” across the country, expressing their support for the country’s European choice.
Citizens in the “Chain of Unity” carry the flags of Georgia and the European Union.
On December 28, a month after the start of the protests, a “Chain of Unity” will be held in Georgian cities. Citizens from all over the country joined the human chain from 15:00.
In Tbilisi, a human chain will be formed: on the Vakhushti Bridge; on the Queen Tamar Bridge; on the Galaktioni Bridge; on the Saarbrücken Bridge; on the Baratashvili Bridge, the Peace Bridge; on the Metekhi Bridge.
A human chain will also be formed in various cities of Georgia.
The citizens’ protest followed the November 28 statement of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, saying that a decision was made not to put the issue of opening negotiations with the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028. The main demands of the protest participants remain unchanged – to schedule new elections and release those detained during the protests.
