A controlled hot-air balloon hit a high-voltage power line in Asureti village in Tetritskaro municipality. Three people died as a result. One of those killed is Misho Bidzinashvili, an Imedi TV videographer.
Experts and law enforcement officers are working on the spot.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched a probe into the accident under Article 275 of the Criminal Code, which refers to safety rules violation.
