Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated at Wednesday’s meeting of the municipal government that due to the pandemic, Tbilisoba celebrations would be cancelled again this year.
The holiday is held annually in early October. The mayor noted that the most important and crucial thing is the health of the people, and so it was best not to publicly celebrate the day of the capital this year.
“Due to the pandemic, we will not be able to hold celebrations this year. However, like last year, we will be going ahead with the annual event awarding honorable Tbilisians, and you can watch the subsequent concert live,” Kaladze said.
