The Ministry of Health has reported that 27 people were hospitalized following the October 4 protest events in Tbilisi — six demonstrators and 21 law enforcement officers. Emergency crews also treated around 30 individuals on the spot.
The ministry says the hospitalized patients sustained various injuries. One police officer is in critical condition, while others are undergoing medical examinations and remain under doctors’ supervision.
The unrest erupted after opposition leaders called for protesters to march toward the presidential residence. Authorities say some demonstrators attempted to break through barriers and storm the building, leading to clashes with police.
