Investment firm Galt & Taggart has revised its forecast for Georgia’s 2025 tourism revenues upward to USD 4.6 billion, mentioning stronger-than-expected sector performance during the first nine months of the year. The figure marks an increase from the company’s previous estimate of USD 4.5 billion.

The data from the National Bank of Georgi reveals that the country generated USD 1.7 billion in tourism income in the third quarter of 2025, a 6.6% rise compared to the same period last year. From January to September 2025, total tourism revenues reached USD 3.6 billion, reflecting a 5.1% year-on-year increase.

In its latest Weekly Investment Review, Galt & Taggart noted that the revised forecast is grounded in solid results from the year’s first three quarters. “Based on actual data for the first nine months of 2025, we forecast that tourism receipts will reach USD 4.6 billion,” the report states.

Tourism remains one of Georgia’s main economic pillars, driving foreign currency inflows, job creation and overall growth. Analysts expect continued diversification of visitor markets and sustained recovery trends to further bolster the sector’s contribution in 2026.
