According to GEOSTAT, gold export from Georgia reduced by 40%. In January 2024, 0.21 tons (gold unwrought or semi-wrought, or in powder form) of gold worth 7,079.20 thousand dollars were exported from Georgia. As of January 2023, 0.35 tons were exported, the total value of which was 9,973.32 thousand dollars.
In January, gold from Georgia was exported to 3 markets:
Switzerland – 6,211.89 thousand dollars;
Turkey – 728.49 thousand dollars;
United Arab Emirates – 138.82 thousand dollars.
